Sue Bird Becomes Winningest WNBA Player in History After Win vs. Aces

In the midst of her final season, Sue Bird reached one more major milestone Wednesday.

The Storm point guard won her 324th game, becoming the all-time winningest player in WNBA history. The record had previously been held by Lindsay Whalen, who played 15 years in the league for the Sun and Lynx.

What makes this milestone even more special is that Bird has played her entire career with the Storm. Even if other players approach this all-time wins record, it is unlikely they will do it all with one team.

Earlier this month, Bird officially announced she will retire at the end of this season, which will be her 19th in the WNBA. Bird currently sits at the top of many leaderboards and has a chance to climb one final time before leaving.

Bird is the all-time leader in games played, minutes played and assists. She is also top five in three-pointers made and steals, and top 10 in points scored.
